"Beneath her, Misty, the last of the azure drakes, snorted smoke through flared nostrils, her deep, sapphire scales shimmering with a sorrow that echoed more than mere loss. Every dragonkin stood silent at the edge of the battlefield, their hearts heavy with grief for their brethren lost to the warlocks' relentless advance. The air crackled with tension, a storm brewing as blood-red clouds gathered threateningly above like a harbinger of doom. Sparkill could feel the ranks of the warlocks closing in, a dark tide that threatened to sweep away everything she held dear.

“Misty,” Sparkill said softly, stepping closer to her dragon companion, who lowered her massive head as if to seek solace in her princess. “I feel your pain. We have lost so much, but we cannot let their tyranny crush the light of our kind.”

Misty let out a mournful roar that resonated like thunder, shaking the ground beneath Sparkill’s feet. The dragon warrior felt the vibrations of rage and sorrow intertwining with the deep bond that flowed between them. They had fought side by side, dragon and princess, for as long as Sparkill could remember. Now, with remnants of hope lying between them, she needed to rally that grieved spirit.

Cloaked in determination, Sparkill drew on the magic that flowed through her, the ancient spells of her lineage coursing to life. She closed her eyes, letting the embers of her electric fury ignite the ancient power cradled within. As she chanted softly, a mystical resonance filled the air, and a vibrant purple flame flickered to life within her palm.

“This flame," she murmured, “is the spirit of those we have lost—of your siblings. We will channel their strength and rise against the darkness.”"
